This course provides expectant parents with a factual and thorough foundation for their breastfeeding journey. Designed by the doulas at Motherhood Matters, the program covers the biological aspects of nursing, including hormones and the transition from colostrum to mature milk. You will learn the mechanics of the golden hour, latching techniques, and how to manage supply and demand. The curriculum also addresses common early challenges such as cluster feeding, engorgement, and knowing when to seek professional assistance. Participants will gain a realistic understanding of newborn feeding behaviors and practical skills for establishing a long-term milk supply.
