Sam | Certified Birth Doula
Wife, Mom, & Coffee Lover
"Birth is not only about making babies. Birth is about making mothers - strong, competent, capable mothers who trust themselves and know their inner strength."
- Barbara Katz Rothman

Hi, I’m Sam — a wife, boy-mom, and doula whose deepest joy is walking with families as they welcome new life into the world. My love for birth isn’t something I stumbled into; it feels like something I was always meant to find. Growing up on an acreage outside Camrose, surrounded by animals, open fields, and the gentle rhythm of homestead life, I learned early to trust nature, honour intuition, and appreciate the quiet strength woven into everyday moments.
Motherhood is what truly awakened my passion for supporting others. After the birth of my first son, I was changed in a way I hadn’t expected. The way God met me in that moment, the power rising in my own body, and the support of my doula and husband showed me how transformative birth can be when a woman feels safe, understood, and surrounded by steady, loving care. That experience planted something deep in me — a calling to offer that same presence to others.
As a doula, my heart is rooted in nurture, trust, and gentle guidance. I believe birth is sacred and uniquely personal, a place where courage and tenderness meet. My hope is for every family I support to feel informed, confident, and deeply held, whether they’re welcoming their first baby or adding to a growing crew. Each birth is its own story, and it’s a gift every time I’m invited to be part of it.
When I’m not attending births or preparing families for theirs, you’ll find me enjoying the simple joys that fill my own life — crocheting, experimenting in the kitchen, tending the garden, or dreaming up new homestead projects. I love creating, learning, and building a life full of meaning with my husband and our three boys.
Thank you for being here. I would be honoured to walk alongside you as you prepare to welcome your little one.
